  • It’s always been amazing to me how some people can rack up a bar tab
that rivals a mortgage in one month. And what comes along with that
bar tab can end up costing you more in the long run-- DUI’s, lawyer’s
fees, loss of a driver’s license and possibly jail time. Smoking Mary
Jane costs me a fraction of what I used to spend on a happy hour tab
and I don’t run the risk of killing myself or others. Quite frankly,
I’m more fun to be around when I take a few hits off a spliff. I don’t
get the late night dialies. I don’t send texts to ex boyfriends at 3am
and I don’t wake up with Taco Bell bags in my sink and wonder how they
got there in the first place. Let’s talk hangovers. I don’t get them
after a night with Mary Jane. I wake up refreshed and ready to take on
a new day. Gone are the days of feeling like a train backed up and ran
over me. Let’s face it- drinking like a college freshman isn’t so cute
in your thirties. No one likes a sloppy drunk.

  • My favorite day of the week is Friday. TGIF? Sure, who doesn’t like
Friday? The end of the workweek for most and the start of the weekend.
Friday Highday. I prefer to bypass mojitos and reach for the ganja.
Let’s face it-- hitting the sauce on a regular basis is certain to
pack on the pounds when you’re over the age of thirty. A neatly rolled
spliff is calorie free. And as long as you can fight the urge to dial
Dominos, those skinny jeans will always fit.

  • It was great being a part of the Natural Instinct photo shoot! I didn't know she would do all that with the joint! lol Great times! Come back and see us in North Carolina anytime! We are telling everyone about the site and magazine...

  • When I was in Afghanistan I would try marijuana again. There were huge fields of high power Kush available to me. Hell we used to burn them down. Then we turned our backs as the farmers needed money and we didn’t want them going to them Taliban to get it. So after a mission one day we head back to HQ and one of the guys pulls out a fat joint and sparks it up in the Land Cruiser we were in. I found my best friend while I was there and her name was Mary Jane. The high would allow me to relax in the intense environment I was surrounded by. A great way to unwind and de stress after a tough day.

  • What a great website. Learning while being entertained! Me and my wife just got back from Puerto Rico, it was so nice to find marijuana easily down there. Here in North Carolina we still have to go to the hood to get it. Risking getting arrested or shot. We are for legalization for many reasons, but our safety is probably the #1 reason. Vote Green for Legalization!

Medical Marijuana Has Never Been Closer for Florida’s Patients

For the first time in history, legislation regarding using marijuana
as a medical treatment option has been proposed to the Florida House
and Senate. The two pieces of legislation, House Joint Resolution 353
and Senate Joint Resolution 1028, would put the question of medical
marijuana on the 2012 Florida ballot.

HJR 353 was introduced before the House by Rep. Jeff Clemens out of
Lake Worth in October and has currently been assigned to three House
committees. Last week, Miami Democratic Sen. Larcenia Bullard
introduced SJR 1028, the matching Senate bill for HJR 353.

These two pieces of legislation would afford rights and protections to
the patients, doctors and caregivers. In order to become a legal
patient, a person will have to get recommended by two different
doctors for their “debilitating medical condition.” Patients won’t be
allowed to have more medicine than “legislatively presumed to be
medically necessary.” They also won’t be allowed to smoke their
medicine in public or endanger their children or others with their
medicine. For individuals under 18, parental consent will also be
required, even with two doctor recommendations. Under the guidelines
of the bill, farms and dispensaries will also be allowed in Florida to
allow safe access for the patients to their medication.

People United For Medical Marijuana (PUFMM) is the Political Action
Committee registered with the state of Florida Division of Elections
that has been leading the way in bringing compassion to the patients
of Florida. PUFMM was founded in February 2009 by Orange County
Republican Executive Committee member, Kim Russell. Local chapters of
activists have been forming all over the state as volunteers have
pressed hard to educate the public, lobby the legislature and collect
    signatures for a ballot initiative.

“Currently in Florida we lose 7 of our loved ones every single day on
the streets due to our prescription pill epidemic,” says Joshua
Giesegh, Campaign Manager for PUFMM. “It is time for us to give our
doctors the right to be able to talk to their patients about a
medication that has been proven to be cheaper, safer and more
effective in many cases. While marijuana may not be the best option
for everyone, our licensed medical professionals need to be the ones
making the medical decisions, not the lawmakers.”

Media run polls over the past year have shown support for medical
marijuana in Florida above 90%, and even a poll commissioned by
Republican Governor Rick Scott showed support at 57%. This means
that, if passed by the legislature, Florida could join 16 other states
and the District of Columbia as a compassionate state.

  • I’d rather be a Stiletto Stoner than a St Pauli girl. Bob Marley once
said that “herb was the healing of a nation”. We could all use a
little of that these days. So pass the dutchie on the left hand side
    and live positively people.

  • I can’t remember the exact date I first smoked marijuana but I remember the event like it was yesterday. It was a great liberating feeling, one that I had no idea of the endless benefits that this plant possessed. But I was sure to learn all about them in the future I just didn’t know that at the time.
